The Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences aims to have a direct line to the students in the master programmes. It is difficult for the Program Director to know what happens in all the courses, so that is where the year representatives come in.
The role of the year representative can be descripted as a mediator role between the students of the programme and the programme coordinator. As year representative you will meet approximately four times a year with your programme coordinator. In these meetings you will give feedback on the course qualities in your programme. You will receive an overview of the course evaluations of your programme and are asked to give your reaction on these, based on the feelings of your student group. Both positive and negative reactions are welcome[RG1] . The main purpose is to represent student’s opinion and discuss certain problems in the specific master programme to prevent them in the future.
Next to this, you are also the ‘go-to’ person for your student group if something seems to go wrong or is unclear during a course. You can contact the instructor or the programme director in the case.
